Welcome to our sisterhood!

Hello hello! My name is Hannah Clingerman and I am beyond excited to serve as Recruitment Chair for the Chi Omega chapter here at Cal Poly.

I never pictured myself as a stereotypical sorority girl that is often portrayed in the media and when I first came to Cal Poly I had no intention of going through recruitment. However, I decided to push myself outside of my comfort zone and to explore this whole new world. Now looking back, I am so grateful that I did. I would not be the same confident, determined, and passionate individual that I am today had it not been for the Greek Community as well as my sisters in Chi Omega.

Coming to college is very challenging transition for most students as you are taken away from the place you have called home for your entire life. I know how it feels, because I went through it too. However, I have now found a place that I can also truly call my home. I have found a home where I am loved for being my true self and where we celebrate everyone’s unique differences. While we may all seem that we have our life together through the pictures we display, we are all women just like you. We are here to laugh with each other through the good times and comfort each other through the bad. While I am in a sorority, I do not view myself or any of my sisters as a stereotypical sorority girl but instead as strong, genuine, and capable women.

Although the recruitment process may seem daunting, I encourage you to take be brave and to get outside of your comfort zone to explore all the opportunities that Cal Poly’s Greek Community can offer you. I look forward to meeting you and sharing about all the amazing women that form our sisterhood in Chi Omega.

Feel free to contact me at chiorecruitment.cp@gmail.com if you have any questions about Chi Omega’s Recruitment process or just Panhellenic Recruitment in general. I would be more than happy to help in any way that I can!
